KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof has conveyed his best wishes to Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub for a speedy recovery after the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister was confirmed to have suffered a brain haemorrhage on Friday (July 21) night.
In a post on Twitter, Fadillah prayed for Allah SWT to ease all matters regarding Salahuddin’s ailment.
“I pray everything will be eased and that @MyDSA_official (Salahuddin’s official Twitter account) YBM (Yang Berhormat Menteri) @KPDN_HQ will have a swift recovery through Allah’s blessings,” he said in the post.
Earlier, the minister’s press secretary, Nur Syakirin Husnal, confirmed that Salahuddin had suffered a brain haemorrhage according to specialist doctors. She added that he was currently undergoing surgery at Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital in Alor Setar.
Nur Syakirin stated that Salahuddin was admitted to the hospital at 10.15pm after experiencing nausea and vomiting.
Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi also expressed his prayers for Salahuddin’s recovery.
“Along with the staff of the Works Ministry, we pray for the swift recovery of YB Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub and for all matters to be eased,” Nanta said in a Facebook post. – Bernama
