KUALA LUMPUR: The National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), CyberSecurity Malaysia (CSM), and the Personal Data Protection Department will be launching investigations into allegations that the Social Security Organisation’s (Socso) website was hacked. Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil urged the public to allow the three agencies time to look into the matter and gather more information. He also emphasized the importance of corporations and government agencies having a chief information security officer (CISO) to bolster their cybersecurity.
Fahmi shared that 16,000 people had attended the one-year anniversary of the MADANI Government program, with an expected total of 200,000 visitors over the three-day duration. The program aimed to inform the public about various policies and efforts by government ministries and agencies.
Regarding the termination of Kaka Azraff’s contract by Warner Music Malaysia, Fahmi mentioned that he was aware of the issue and characterized it as a contractual matter between both parties. He expressed sympathy as a minister, but noted that Kaka Azraff had not contacted his office as of yet. Fahmi stressed that it is a contractual matter between the parties, and any legal action would be left to the courts to decide.
