In Kota Kinabalu, a tragic accident took place along Jalan Manggaris in the Kota Marudu district, resulting in the death of a 52-year-old man and injuries to a family of five.
The collision occurred at 8.54am on Sunday involving a sedan and a four-wheel-drive vehicle.
Upon arrival, officials from the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department found the man pinned to his seat as a result of the crash and sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The injured family, consisting of a couple and three children (two boys and a girl), received initial medical assistance before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
Authorities handed over the deceased man’s body to the police for further procedures while the investigation into the accident continues.
