    Famous brand to open its largest hotel in Asia in 2027

    Asia’s largest Hard Rock Hotel is scheduled to be finished in 2027 in King’s Park, Genting Highlands.

    HR Resort and Residences (HRRR) Sdn Bhd, the owner of the upcoming Hard Rock Hotel Genting Highlands, has signed an agreement with Hard Rock International to bring the hotel brand to Genting Highlands.

    Hard Rock Genting Highlands will feature 371 luxurious rooms and 630 suites.

    Todd Hricko, the senior vice-president and global business development head of Hard Rock International, is excited about the project coming to fruition.

    “This will further enhance Hard Rock’s reputation in the area.”

    He stated that visitors can expect to see a display of music memorabilia from international stars.

    “Rare collectibles, including birth certificates of globally renowned singers and groups such as Rolling Stones, Elvis Presley, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga, as well as their Grammys and MTV music awards, will be showcased in the hotel.

    “Our commitment to the music industry is what sets us apart from other hotels,” he said after signing the agreement with HRRR chairman Lim Kim Chai at King’s Park sales gallery in Genting Highlands.

    Hotel guests will also have access to the Rock Shop, which is a 200sq m retail space owned by Hard Rock Hotel, as well as a heated swimming pool, restaurants, Rock Spa, and nightly rock ‘n’ roll entertainment in the hotel’s stylish lounge and bar.

    Unique Hard Rock souvenirs, infused with the distinctive Hard Rock style, will be available for purchase.

    Hard Rock Hotel will be one of three hotels in King’s Park.

    Sean Chen, the executive vice-president of King’s Park, stated that the partnership is a significant milestone in the hospitality industry.

    “Our focus is to create an unforgettable experience that combines high-end design with the vibrant energy of rock ‘n’ roll.

    “As an avid guitar player myself, with a deep love for rock and guitar-based music, I am extremely proud that we have developed the concept for Hard Rock Genting Highlands,” he said.

    Chen also mentioned that the upcoming Hard Rock Hotel Genting Highlands will create a large number of jobs across various fields.

    “This will undoubtedly spur economic growth and greatly improve the quality of life in Pahang and the neighboring states,” he said.

    Developed by King’s Park Development Sdn Bhd, King’s Park is set to become an integrated entertainment hub and Central Business District (CBD), blending world-class entertainment and hospitality.

    It is a mega development covering 61ha of freehold land with a gross development value (GDV) of RM10bil.

    An estimated 53 million tourists are projected to visit it by 2026, and it has a catchment area of nearly 700,000 people within a 5km radius.

    It features a state-of-the-art 2,000m-long pedestrian boulevard with a 500m riverside patio and 360 businesses spread across 12 blocks.

    About 18,680sq meters of Truly Asia Cultural Streets will add to the grandeur of King’s Park.

    In addition, there are plans for a halal retail zone and a halal luxury boutique hotel, as well as eco-sports and mountain biking routes.

    Other attractions, including branded theme parks and the world’s largest terrarium spanning 600m, are also easily accessible on foot.

    Also present at the agreement signing ceremony were Edward Chan, the senior vice-president and Asia-Pacific hotel development head of Hard Rock International, and Jayandren Subramaniam, the chief executive officer and co-founder of King’s Park Group.
