PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim revealed evidence on Thursday showing that he signed a debt waiver scheme for Felda settlers.
“I have part of the Assignment for Financial Service Reserve Account (FSRA) agreement document related to the Government Guarantee to Felda, which I signed,” he said.
He called on Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to apologize for slandering him, referring to Muhyiddin’s demand for an open and unconditional written apology in response to Anwar’s claim that Felda settlers’ debts of RM8.3bil were never waived under Muhyiddin’s administration.
Anwar previously stated that the Perikatan Nasional government’s 2021 and 2022 national budgets did not allocate funds to resolve Felda’s debts.
He emphasized that only in the Madani Budget 2023 did he allocate RM990mil to address the Felda settlers’ debts.
