A storm caused damage to part of the roof of the Simpang Pertang Fire and Rescue Station in Jelebu, near Seremban.
Hazim Asriq Hasbullah, the station chief, stated that the incident occurred at around 4.40pm on Saturday (Oct 7), resulting in damages to the third floor of the building, the hose tower, and the roofs of four quarters.
Fortunately, there were no casualties as the firemen were present in the station when the incident took place.
According to Hasbullah, this was the first time the station experienced damage from a storm.
A statement released on Saturday night mentioned that the clearing of debris is currently in progress, and the extent of losses is yet to be determined.
