Roughly at 5:57am on Wednesday morning (Nov 8), near Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor, a van driver was involved in a collision with a lorry causing the driver to be trapped in his vehicle for approximately 10 minutes. This was stated by Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar.
The victim, who is in his 50s, was transporting a variety of goods when the incident happened with the three-tonne lorry. His right leg was trapped in the vehicle for about 10 minutes before the rescue team managed to free him,” Mukhtar said. He also stated that the 29-year-old lorry driver was not injured in the accident.
The van driver was on his way to Bestari Jaya from Rawang, while the lorry was heading in the opposite direction, as added by Ahmad Mukhlis.
The collision between the van and the lorry led to the van driver being trapped for a short period of time.
According to Ahmad Mukhlis, the van driver sustained an injury to his right leg following the crash. The incident occurred at Jalan Rantau Panjang in Kampung Sungai Darah, as mentioned in the statement.
Following the accident, the van driver was trapped in his vehicle for around ten minutes before firefighters managed to free him. The crash did not cause any physical harm to the lorry driver, who is 29 years old.
The van driver’s age was not disclosed in the report.
