A woman in Sandakan was saved from a dangerous situation when firefighters rescued her from a ledge outside her fifth-floor apartment window on Saturday morning. The 22-year-old was successfully brought back into her apartment unit with the help of abseiling equipment.
The State Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call regarding the incident at 9.39am. Thankfully, the woman did not sustain any injuries during the ordeal. She was subsequently handed over to the police for further necessary actions. The rescue operation concluded at 10.50am.
