    Five cops arrested for allegedly abducting victim from KL restaurant

    Five police officers and one civilian have been detained by authorities for purportedly kidnapping an individual from a restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. According to Cheras OCPD Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim Jamaluddin, the victim lodged a report on September 26, revealing that he had been forcibly taken by a group of men while dining at a restaurant in Desa Petaling. The official further explained that a police team from the Cheras police headquarters apprehended six suspects, with their ages ranging from 27 to 42, one of whom was a civilian. These arrests were conducted on September 27 at the Cheras police headquarters.

    Assistant Commissioner Zam Halim added that the motive for the abduction is still under investigation. He stated, “A thorough investigation is currently underway and once completed, the investigation report will be submitted to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further actions to be taken.”
