Flash floods were reported at Section 13 in Shah Alam on Wednesday (Aug 16).
Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim stated that the incident occurred between 3.40pm and 4.37pm on Wednesday.
“We received reports that flooding occurred along Jalan Persiaran Sukan there.
“The areas affected included the Stadium roundabout heading towards the Accapela building, Jalan Surau Munawwarah, and the KGSAS traffic light,” he said when contacted on Wednesday.
He mentioned that the old entrance into Management and Science University and routes to the Perdana Condominium were also affected.
He also added that the situation at the affected areas was under control and the flood waters were receding.
ACP Mohd Iqbal said the police would continue to monitor the areas to ensure safety and security.
