SUBANG JAYA: Heavy rain since 4pm on Sunday (Nov 5) has caused flash floods, affecting a popular mall here as well.
Videos circulating on social media show several inches of water flooding the lower floor of the mall.
Other videos also show the mall’s basement parking covered in water, with one user commenting that she was shopping there when “all of a sudden the bell rang alerting us to evacuate the mall due to flooding.”

Also circulating are photos of water flooding the tracks of the Subang Jaya KTM station here.
It was learnt that floods occurred along Jalan Persiaran Subang, as well as parts of the USJ area.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has yet to receive any report about the flooding.

Since 4pm on Sunday (Nov 5), heavy rain has resulted in flash floods in Subang Jaya, causing disruption even at a popular mall in the area. Videos circulating on social media depict flooding of several inches of water on the lower floor of the mall. Other clips show the mall’s basement parking submerged in water, with one person sharing their experience of shopping when an alert bell rang, instructing everyone to evacuate due to the flooding. In addition, social media posts also include images of water flooding the tracks of the Subang Jaya KTM station. The floods have affected Jalan Persiaran Subang and parts of the USJ area. As of now, the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department has not yet received any reports pertaining to the flooding.
