The number of flood victims in Kelantan and Pahang has not changed since Tuesday night, with 48 people from 13 families still seeking shelter at three relief centres in both states as of 6am on Wednesday. The National Disaster Control Centre of the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma) reported that 26 people from seven families are still at a relief centre in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.

Pahang has a total of 12 flood victims, involving three families, at a relief centre in Maran, while another 10 victims from three families are at a relief centre in Temerloh. According to reports, the water at three rivers, Sungai Pulai in Johor Bahru, Sungai Golok in Tanah Merah (Kelantan), and Sungai Arau in Perlis, are still at the danger level.

The Drainage and Irrigation Department’s Telemetry Station conducted a survey and found that several roads remain closed due to flood damage. Among the affected roads are Jalan Durian Mentangau in Dungun, Terengganu, and Jalan Sungai Sam to Dabong in Jeli, Kelantan. – Bernama
