JOHOR BARU: The flood situation in Johor has shown signs of improvement as the number of evacuees has decreased in three affected districts on Monday (Jan 15).
As reported by the state disaster management committee, a total of 210 evacuees are currently seeking shelter at five relief centres in Kota Tinggi, Segamat, and Batu Pahat.
Kota Tinggi remains the district with the highest number of evacuees at 124, followed by Segamat with 63, and Batu Pahat with 23.
“There are five relief centres that are still operational, namely SK Sungai Telor and SK Semanggar in Kota Tinggi, Balairaya Kampung Batu Badak and Dewan Komuniti Kampung Tasek in Segamat, and SK Bukit Kuari in Batu Pahat,” the committee stated.
Additionally, the committee mentioned that the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has forecasted good weather throughout Johor today.
