The number of flood evacuees in Johor Baru has increased to 74 people as of 8am on Thursday (Nov 2).
The Johor Civil Defence Force (APM) reports that 74 people from 22 families are currently affected by the floods, compared to 24 people from six families eight hours earlier.
“At the moment, only Johor Baru is experiencing flooding.
“We have established one flood relief center at Dewan Sungai Tiram at approximately 7pm on Wednesday (Nov 1),” said the APM in a statement.
The APM noted that the river basins of Kampung Parit Tengah in Muar and Sg Sembrong in Batu Pahat have not yet reached dangerous levels.
It also mentioned that the weather has been cloudy in all districts in Johor from midnight to 4am, and sunny from 8am onwards.
