KOTA BHARU: The number of flood evacuees in Pasir Mas has decreased to 711 people from 229 families as of 9pm, down from 1,495 people from 502 families earlier in the day due to the fine weather.
According to the Social Welfare Department, only four evacuation centres are in operation on Friday night, compared to six in the morning.
As of now, the relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Gual To’ Deh is housing 338 people from 112 families, while Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Gual Periok accommodates 70 people from 21 families.
SMK Baroh Pial is currently housing 167 people from 55 families, and SK Gual Periok is providing shelter to 136 people from 41 families. – Bernama
