According to Johor Bahru Utara OCPD Asst Comm Balveer Singh, a foreign woman was discovered stabbed to death in a house located in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, near Skudai, early on Sunday (Dec 24) morning.
Authorities received a distress call about the incident at 4.35am, and the 41-year-old victim is believed to have been stabbed with a sharp object,” he said in a statement Monday (Dec 25).
The police arrested a 41-year-old foreign woman and a 24-year-old foreign man at 7.47pm the same day in relation to the crime,” ACP Balveer Singh said.
The woman was apprehended at her house, and the man, who was also the victim’s brother, was detained at a garbage dumpsite in the Taman Ungku Tun Aminah area.
A knife was found at the scene of the crime and police are currently investigating the motive of the incident,” ACP Balveer Singh added.
Authorities are planning to apply for a remand order on the suspects, and the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
