Foreign worker killed in quarry accident

IPOH: A foreign worker has died in a mishap at a quarry in Keramat Pulai here.

At about 11am on Tuesday (Sept 5), a distress call was received by the Perak Fire and Rescue Department regarding an incident at the quarry in Keramat Pulai. The victim, a foreign worker, was reported to have his hand stuck in heavy machinery.

The operations officer of the Perak Fire and Rescue Department, Faiezaruddin Mohd Yusop, stated that due to rock movements at the scene, the retrieval operation had to be temporarily stopped.
