According to Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, a foreigner was fatally stabbed after mistakenly drinking orange juice intended for his co-worker to break his fast for buka puasa. The tragic incident took place at approximately 7.20pm on Tuesday at a factory worker’s hostel in Section 36, Shah Alam.
Upon receiving a call reporting the incident, authorities arrived at the scene to find a 49-year-old Bangladeshi man deceased. Investigations revealed that the victim was residing with a 51-year-old Pakistani man in a makeshift workers’ hostel, which was a converted shipping container.
The perpetrator became enraged when he discovered that the victim had consumed the orange juice that was meant for him to break his fast. Subsequently, he resorted to using a kitchen knife to fatally stab the victim multiple times. The suspect was apprehended at the scene, and a knife believed to have been used in the crime was recovered.
