Former Jasin MP Mohd Said Yusof passes away at 70

Former Jasin MP Datuk Mohd Said Yusof, 70, passed away on Monday (Aug 28) at the Melaka Hospital, as per his daughter Nur Adawiah. He had been suffering from heart problems and diabetes and had been frequently hospitalized since December of last year,” she stated. Mohd Said will be laid to rest at the Padang Temu Muslim cemetery in Melaka at 11am on Tuesday (Aug 29). Survived by his wife Datin Rozana Samsudin, 66, three children, and six grandchildren, he served as Jasin MP from 2004 to 2008 and was also the chairman of the Malaysian History and Patriotism Research Institute (IKSEP), now known as Tun Perak Institute. Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh expressed his sympathy to Mohd Said’s family through a Facebook post. – Bernama
