An unemployed man who allegedly tried to break into a house in Kampung Belukar, Tapang, Kota Bharu, died while receiving medical treatment. Kota Bharu district police have arrested the house owner and three other men, aged between 30s to 50s, to aid in the investigation. The individuals have been remanded until September 1.
According to Kota Bharu district police chief ACP Mohd Rosdi Daud, the incident occurred at 3am on August 20. The suspect, in his 30s, acted aggressively with a knife, leading to a scuffle between him, the house owner, and several other men. The suspect was eventually apprehended and handed over to the police. The suspect had a history of involvement in criminal and drug-related activities.
After sustaining facial and head injuries, the suspect was taken to Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Hospital in Kubang Kerian for treatment. However, he passed away on August 24, as reported by the hospital. Mohd Rosdi has called for witnesses to the incident to step forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
