Four individuals believed to have drowned at Kudat beach.

KOTA KINABALU: Four individuals are currently missing and are suspected to have drowned at Simpang Mengayau beach in Kudat.

In response to a report received at 7.16pm on Tuesday (July 25), the Fire and Rescue Department swiftly dispatched a team to the area in order to gather more information regarding the incident.

“Based on initial information, one person was rescued from the water by civilians, while the whereabouts of the remaining four individuals are unknown.

“We will provide updated information as it becomes available,” stated the department’s spokesperson.
