The newly established Malaysia-China Friendship and Mutual Aid Association (MCFAMAA) recently visited the Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur to enhance people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

During the visit on July 19, a roundtable meeting took place, where both sides discussed efforts to strengthen their bonds.

In a statement, MCFAMAA advisor Datuk Seri Michael Chong highlighted his achievements in assisting Chinese citizens for nearly three decades, including resolving family disputes and civil litigation.

China Ambassador Ouyang Yujing expressed gratitude for the assistance provided to Chinese citizens in Malaysia and urged the association to establish branches throughout the country.

The association’s deputy president, former deputy Perak police chief Datuk Goh Boon Keng, shared a case involving five Chinese students and suggested improving cross-border communication between the police forces of both nations to streamline support and resolution processes.

The visit signified an important milestone for the association in strengthening its ties with the Chinese Embassy.

With the embassy’s support, the association is poised to expand its outreach and positively impact the lives of Chinese nationals across the nation.
