The recipients of the funds are the Board of Management for SJK © Yue Min Penampang, the Chinese Welfare Association, and the Kwan Shing Tee Kuan temple.
In a statement issued on Monday (July 24), Benedick said, “These allocations are for the recipients to carry out their activities and other necessities, including building upgrading works.”
One of the beneficiaries, Sekolah SJK(C) Yue Min Penampang, received RM30,000 for the purpose of upgrading their school hall. Meanwhile, the Kwan Shing Tee Kuan temple received RM9,680 to purchase tables, chairs, and fans.
Benedick further announced that RM10,000 was presented to the Penampang Chinese Welfare Association to support their charity program scheduled for July 29.
The money was presented by Benedick, who is also the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives minister, during a courtesy call made by representatives from the three organizations at his parliamentary office on Monday.
