KOTA KINABALU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah is preparing for its inaugural annual congress, scheduled to take place on Nov 13 at the Sabah International Convention Centre, according to Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor. The party president revealed that they are expecting around 2,000 delegates and observers from 73 state divisions and Labuan to participate in the event. The party’s various wings, such as youth, wanita, belia, and beliawanis, will conduct their meetings in the morning, while the main congress will be held in the afternoon.
Hajiji expressed his satisfaction with the preparations during a supreme council meeting held on Friday (Nov 3). Serving as the anchor party in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition government, the chief minister of Sabah aims to expand the party’s membership to 300,000 by the end of this year. “Currently, we have 236,000 registered members,” he added.
