GARDENIA products such as buns and waffles will experience a price increase of 10 sen to 20 sen starting from October 1.
On Tuesday, Gardenia Bakeries (KL) Sdn Bhd informed Sinar Harian that the price hike will affect 30 of its products.
However, the bread manufacturer stated that the prices of white bread and wholemeal bread will remain the same to prevent additional financial burden on its customers.

Kosmo! reported that R. Punithamalar, who is from Perak and a member of the International Chess Federation, managed to accomplish this feat in just 45.72 seconds, surpassing the previous record of 61.02 seconds.
The girl has been playing chess since the age of five and received training from her father. She is also a member of her school’s chess club.
Punithamalar regularly watched videos of other successful chess champions arranging chess pieces to improve her skills.
> The Statistics Department (DOSM) revealed that residents of the Petaling district have a longer life expectancy of 80.5 years compared to other Malaysians, as reported by Kosmo!.
The department’s findings also showed that those living in Kecil Lojing, Kelantan, have the shortest life span in the country, at 62.8 years.
In terms of the state with the highest life expectancy, Selangor topped the list for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023.
The DOSM also highlighted that Terengganu had the lowest life expectancy.
The district with the highest life expectancy for men was Petaling (78.9 years), while Kalabakan in Sabah had the highest life expectancy for women (82.8 years).
