SEREMBAN: Several business premises owned by Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holdings (GISB) in Seremban 2 have allegedly been abandoned since last Wednesday (Sept 18).

Sinar Harian surveyed a restaurant owned by GISB on Sunday (Sept 22) here and found that the premises were in disarray, with cooking utensils and food containers left unwashed in the sink.

A trader said that the workers were nowhere to be seen, and another trader noted that some individuals who looked like the authorities had come and searched the premises.

It is uncertain whether those who worked there were detained or ran away.

It is believed that GISB owns grocery stores, cendol shops, cafes, bakeries, and stalls selling cakes in the area.

The police suspect GISB of committing offences in human trafficking activities and other offences following the rescue of exploited children in GISB-linked welfare homes.
