SEREMBAN is known for its popular street food such as Hakka mee, siew pau, and beef noodles. However, the city lacks options for more upscale dining. The Glam Lounge Restaurant at My Fame Hotel, formerly known as City Kingdom, aims to address this by offering glamorous Asian and Western dishes in a sparkly setting. Saravanan Subramaniam, the owner and manager of My Fame Hotel and The Glam Lounge Restaurant, revealed that his wife came up with the restaurant’s name. Their goal was to bring a touch of glamour to Seremban’s dining scene. Additionally, hotel guests receive a 10% discount at the restaurant.

The restaurant exudes glamor, starting with its decor. The walls are adorned with shimmering silver panels, and the ceilings feature elegant chandeliers. With an extensive menu of over 50 dishes, ranging from rice sets to pizza, The Glam Lounge Restaurant delivers a satisfying culinary experience. While the menu may be adjusted periodically, the current selection is sure to please most palates. Notable dishes include the Glam Kampung Fried Rice, a modern twist on a classic, served with chicken satay and crispy fried chicken wings. Another standout is the Glam Nasi Ayam Penyet, which presents the Indonesian street favorite in an elegant plating.

In addition to the Asian offerings, the restaurant’s chef also excels in preparing Western dishes. The Carbonara is a recommended choice, featuring coils of spaghetti in a creamy carbonara sauce topped with smoked duck slices and parmesan cheese. Another delightful option is the Chicken Lasagna, with layers of pasta, cheese, and minced chicken sauce. The presentation and attention to detail elevate these dishes and delight Chef Mohd Zainal Omar, who leads the kitchen at The Glam Lounge Restaurant. With over 20 years of experience in hotel restaurants, Chef Mohd Zainal Omar prioritizes value for money, reflected in generous portion sizes and accompaniments like satay and fried chicken. Moreover, most gravies and sauces are house-made, ensuring quality.

The restaurant’s lunch and dinner menu feature the Glam Rice Set, priced from RM15.90 to RM20.90, with selections such as Classic Chicken Rendang and Butter Prawn. Each set also includes extras like a garden salad and clear chicken soup. For those seeking spicy flavors, the Ayam Masak Lemak Cili Api set pays homage to the state’s Minang cuisine with basmati rice and succulent chicken cooked in a creamy gravy infused with bird’s eye chili. The Asian Wok section offers stir-fried rice and noodles, with the Special Fried Rice Pedas Gilerrr as a particularly fiery option.

In addition to the diverse menu, The Glam Lounge Restaurant accommodates vegetarian options and dietary restrictions. Families can enjoy the Kiddo’s Corner, offering dishes like Kid’s Pineapple Fried Rice and Crispy Chicken Burger. Finally, for dessert, the options include Creme Brulee, Lava Cake, and Chocolate Brownie.

The Glam Lounge Restaurant is located on the ground floor of My Fame Hotel along the Seremban-Bukit Nenas Highway, Taman AST, Seremban. The restaurant operates from 7am to 3pm and 6pm to 10pm, and it is pork-free.
