His Majesty expressed his hope that the government will achieve a fiscal surplus every year during his reign as King.

Sultan Ibrahim highlighted the introduction of the Public Finance and Fiscal Responsibility Act 2023 as part of a reform initiative aimed at enhancing governance, accountability, and transparency in public financial management.

The King also urged all parties to capitalize on the upcoming Visit Malaysia 2026 and Malaysia’s chairmanship of ASEAN next year, as these events present economic opportunities to generate new income sources and showcase the nation’s culture and heritage.
