Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasized the importance of explaining the significance of Budget 2024 to the public. As Prime Minister and Finance Minister, he believes it is necessary for the government machinery to clarify the reasons behind the focus on health and education in this budget. Anwar expressed these views at the Finance Ministry’s monthly assembly in Putrajaya on Tuesday, October 17.
The Malaysia Madani Budget 2024, titled “Economic Reform, Empowering the People”, was presented by Anwar himself on Friday, October 13. Amounting to RM393.8bil, it is the largest budget in the history of Malaysia. The Education Ministry has been granted the highest allocation of RM58.7bil, while the Health Ministry will receive RM41.2bil.
Anwar stressed that Budget 2024 is designed to instill confidence in investors and provide maximum comfort to the public. It serves as a national budget, and its implementation is crucial for the nation’s progress. Anwar’s statements were reported by Bernama.
