SHAH ALAM: Nurul Fadzilah Kamaluddin (pic) emphasized the necessity for the government to address the political, economic, and social issues faced by young people, which she believes are often overlooked. Kamaluddin, the chief of Srikandi Muda Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), highlighted the significance of core issues such as unemployment, the increasing cost of living, education, and the problem of school dropouts.
During the partyās Srikandi Muda Convention 2.0 titled “Young Women National Icon,” she expressed concern for the struggles of many young people. The convention was inaugurated by Bersatu vice-president Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee, who stressed the importance of increasing the presence of young people in the political arena.
Kiandee also acknowledged that young people are vital as they represent a significant portion of the voting demographic and have the potential to shift the political landscape and form a new government. He underscored that no political party can afford to disregard the importance of young people in politics.
Other notable figures present at the convention included Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin, vice-president Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin, and Srikandi deputy chief Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin.
