KUALA LUMPUR: According to GSPP director Muhammad Fauzi Asmuni, the Gabungan Solidariti Pembebasan Palestin is organizing various solidarity activities to rally people in the effort to reclaim the rights and sovereignty of Palestine.
Muhammad Fauzi mentioned that the activities are being conducted in collaboration with local non-governmental organizations (NGOs), communities, mosques, universities as well as government and private bodies.
“The planned activities include Palestine Liberation Solidarity Convoy, Palestine Liberation Solidarity Tour, Palestine discourse, 1 House 1 Fund 1 Flag Campaign, Palestinian Flag Campaign, and social media campaigns.
“GSPP also appeals to Malaysians to continue supporting the resilience of the people in Gaza and to provide financial assistance so they can lead a normal life there,” he said.
He made these remarks during the third special GSSP press conference on their proposals to the government at Anjung Melayu on Thursday (Nov 9), where a representative of the Aman Palestin NGO was also present.
Muhammad Fauzi mentioned that aid such as blankets, mattresses, winter jackets, food parcels, ready-to-eat food and medicines are the immediate priority.
“It will be winter in Palestine soon, which will exacerbate their suffering and hardship amidst this conflict,” he stated.
Muhammad Fauzi also revealed that Aman Palestin has donated RM500,000 to the people of Gaza and is in the process of funneling RM2.5 million to the al-Shifa Hospital to provide medical equipment and financial aid to victims of the Israeli regime’s violence. – Bernama
