A kuih trader, Fazleeen Mohd Yusoff, aged 31, tragically passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning after sustaining head injuries in a motorcycle accident. The incident occurred on the Gua Musang-Kuala Krai Road near the Kesedar Paloh 3 Land Development Scheme last Wednesday.
Accompanied by her husband, Nik Amdan Mohd Ali, 28, and their two children, the family was on their way to deliver orders to customers in Paloh 3 when the accident took place. Suddenly, a calf darted across the road and collided with the family’s Honda RS 150 R motorcycle, causing Fazleeen to suffer severe injuries.
Gua Musang district police chief, Supp Sik Choon Foo, revealed that after the collision, Fazleeen was swiftly taken to the Kuala Krai Hospital for immediate treatment. She was later transferred to Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries at 1.10am.
“Medical officers at HUSM confirmed that Fazleeen’s cause of death was the result of the severe head injuries she sustained in the accident,” stated Supp Sik. The victim’s body was subsequently claimed by her family members and laid to rest on Sunday morning. The tragic incident has left her loved ones and community in mourning. – Bernama
