PETALING JAYA: A meeting to promote bilateral cooperation between China and Malaysia’s tourism sectors, focusing on Guangyuan city in Sichuan province, was held on Tuesday (July 16).
MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong posted about the courtesy visit on his Facebook account, where it was attended by Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan.
“Thank you to the Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister for taking the time to receive a courtesy visit from the delegation of Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province, led by He Shuping, Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Guangyuan Municipal Committee, at the historic Sultan Abdul Samad Building this morning.
“With a history spanning over 3,000 years, Guangyuan City holds vast potential in tourism, cultural industries, logistics, and natural resources, which opens up opportunities for local businesses to explore and enter the Chinese market,” he wrote in the post published on Tuesday (July 16).
Dr Wee added that the ministry has also been invited to make an official visit to Guangyuan City to further enhance bilateral cooperation following this courtesy visit.
