In Petaling Jaya, a man from Singapore experienced an unexpected mishap during his Christmas celebration at a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur when a decorative Christmas tree fell and injured him.
Julius Lee, 44, was reportedly taking pictures with his wife, Aileen Tan, 39, and their child when the incident occurred.
Tan recounted, “My husband was standing outside the merry-go-round to take our picture when suddenly a Christmas tree fell on him.
She added, “It happened so fast. Thankfully, my child was with me. The Christmas tree would’ve hit my child if she was in the stroller.”
After the incident, Lee was taken to a clinic by the mall’s management, as he had suffered a bruise on his head.
The family had arrived in Malaysia on Wednesday (Dec 20) with their three-year-old daughter to celebrate Christmas.
Following the accident, the fallen Christmas tree was promptly removed, and the area was secured by the mall’s security and management.
