    KUALA LUMPUR: As of 4pm on Sunday (Oct 1), nine areas in Peninsular Malaysia experienced unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) readings ranging from 101 to 200. The Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) website reported that the highest API reading, at 155, was recorded in Larkin, Johor. Nilai, Negeri Sembilan, and Bukit Rambai, Melaka both had an API reading above 150 at 152, while Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan recorded a reading of 151. Other areas with unhealthy API readings include Cheras at 144, Batu Pahat in Johor at 133, Seberang Jaya in Penang at 130, Banting in Selangor at 122, and Melaka City in Melaka at 121. These findings were reported by the Bernama news agency.
