Flash floods hit Kubang Pasu due to heavy rain on Monday.
Capt (PA) Mohd Adenin Suhaimi, an officer from the District Civil Defence Force, stated that Napoh and the Jitra–Changlun Highway were affected by the floods.
“The flooding occurred after heavy rain started around 6pm, causing several areas to be submerged,” he said in a statement.
Capt Mohd Adenin mentioned that the flooding receded and cleared at about 8pm when the rain stopped.
The Civil Defence Force personnel are currently keeping watch as it continues to rain, according to him.
He attributed the flash floods to blocked drainage in the area.
As of now, no temporary relief centres have been set up.
“Although the situation is under control, the Civil Defence Force remains on standby,” he added.
