PROJEK Lintasan Kota Holdings Sdn Bhd (Prolintas) has become one of the sponsors for the Cradle for Inclusive Nurturing and Teaching Atmosphere (Cinta Care) Project. This project aims to upgrade the nursery at Kajang Women’s Prison. Prolintas group chief executive officer, Datuk Mohammad Azlan Abdullah, stated that this corporate social responsibility initiative, led by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia alumni, is focused on creating a safe and encouraging environment for children of prison inmates aged below three.
Prolintas sponsored the Lego BrickMatrix in order to stimulate creativity and enhance the children’s cognitive development. Additionally, this sponsorship provides the children with early exposure to science, mathematics, engineering, and technology (STEM) education. The upgraded nursery also includes a Montessori room, educational materials, television, a sleeping room, as well as a clean and comfortable dedicated feeding room. These enhancements align with the best childcare practices that Prolintas aims to implement at the nursery.
Mohammad Azlan further emphasized that this project is a continuation of another initiative that began earlier this year. The previous initiative focused on improving equipment and facilities for a pastry-making workshop at the prison, which has successfully helped inmates generate income.
In a statement, Prolintas expressed its commitment to continuously seek out opportunities to assist those in need. This commitment is aligned with the company’s aspiration of becoming a community-friendly highway provider.
