Australian Brand Harvey Norman Opens New Store in Shah Alam
Australian household retailer, Harvey Norman, has expanded its presence in Malaysia with the opening of its 29th store at Plaza Shah Alam in Selangor. This marks a significant step towards the brand’s goal of having 80 stores in Malaysia by the end of 2028. Over the past six years, Harvey Norman has doubled its number of stores in the country, according to Kenneth Aruldoss, managing director of Harvey Norman Asia.

“Additionally, we have put in place an experienced team to achieve aggressive expansion over the next five years. We are actively seeking talented and passionate individuals to join us and be part of this expansion,” said Kenneth. He also highlighted the importance of a highly skilled local team to strengthen the infrastructure required for growth in areas such as IT, warehousing, property, finance, human resources, and marketing.
Occupying over 12,000sq ft, the new Harvey Norman store in Plaza Shah Alam offers a comprehensive range of electrical appliances, IT equipment, and mobile devices from top global brands at affordable prices. To commemorate the store’s grand opening, Harvey Norman is offering promotional deals and one-off specials until September 19.
Customers can enjoy a unique and complete shopping experience with knowledgeable staff, attentive promoters, and an interesting store layout. The “Shop with Confidence” policy allows shoppers to negotiate the best deals. Flexible payment options are available, including up to 36 months of interest-free instalments for credit card holders and other payment methods for non-credit card holders.
