A viral photo shows a baby’s swollen hand allegedly after receiving treatment at Hospital Melaka. Authorities are investigating the incident.
Mohamad Izwan shared the photo online, claiming that his nephew’s hand swelled after getting vaccinated against measles at the hospital.
“Hospital Melaka’s negligence caused my baby nephew’s swollen hands. Where did they learn medicine? My nephew only came for measles,” he posted on social media.
Melaka health, human resources, and unity committee chairman Ngwe Hee Sem instructed Hospital Melaka director Dr Zaharimah Abdul Kadir to investigate the allegations.
“I have ordered the hospital director to conduct an investigation based on Mohamad Izwan’s claims against Hospital Melaka,” Ngwe Hee Sem said in response to social media criticism.
