In Petaling Jaya, there have been no police reports made against Umno Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh regarding a social media post showing him holding a sword, according to Inspector-General Tan Sri Razarudin Husain. He mentioned that as of now, no investigation has been started on this matter.
Tan Sri Razarudin Husain stated, “I can confirm that no reports have been lodged so far and we have yet to open any investigations,” during a contact on Wednesday (April 3).
On March 14, Dr Muhamad Akmal posted a picture of himself holding a sword along with the caption: “No matter what, we will not waver from our stance. Better to die standing than live kneeling.”
Dr Muhamad Akmal also publicly called for a boycott of all KK Super Mart stores on March 17 after socks bearing the term “Allah” were discovered in one outlet. A day before, he insisted that KK Super Mart display banners of apology at all 881 outlets throughout the country.
There have been no official complaints lodged against Dr Muhamad Akmal for his sword holding social media post. The Inspector-General confirmed that no investigations have been initiated at this point.
It was also noted that Dr Muhamad Akmal had called for a boycott of KK Super Mart stores following the discovery of socks with the term “Allah” at one of their outlets. He further demanded public apologies from all 881 branches of the store nationwide.
