KUALA LUMPUR: The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has instructed that the missions under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030 (NIMP 2030) be successfully executed for the betterment and economic progress of the people and the country.
Istana Negara, in a Facebook post on Monday (Sept 19), announced that Al-Sultan Abdullah desires strong support and full cooperation from relevant parties and agencies to ensure the effective and smooth implementation of the master plan aimed at driving large-scale industrial transformation.
“His Majesty also prays that with the implementation of the master plan, Malaysia will remain competitive and progressive, positioning the country as a regional economic powerhouse,” the post read.
Prior to this, Al-Sultan Abdullah had an audience with Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, along with Aedreena Reeza Alwi, the director of the ministry’s Industry Development Division, and Ahmad Akmal Muhamad, the principal assistant director of the Industry Development Division at Istana Negara on Monday.
Tengku Zafrul briefed His Majesty on the NIMP 2030, which was officially launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on September 1.
NIMP 2030 is a comprehensive framework that encompasses the mission, priorities, and action plan for transforming Malaysia’s manufacturing sector into a high-tech industrial nation through digital transformation. – Bernama
