In a daring rescue mission, a 21-year-old climber was safely carried down Mount Kinabalu by the skilled team at Mountain Search and Rescue (Mosar) on Thursday (July 13). The climber had suffered severe leg pains, but thanks to the quick response of Mosar, he was brought to safety.
Mosar, a dedicated unit under the Fire and Rescue Department, received the distress call at 3.45pm. Without wasting any time, a team of four Mosar personnel was immediately dispatched to the location to assist the climber in need.
Showing immense strength and teamwork, one of the Mosar members carried the climber piggyback style all the way from KM4 of Mount Kinabalu to the Timpohon Gate, which serves as the entrance to the majestic mountain. This act of heroism exhibited the dedication and professionalism of the Mosar team.
