KUALA LUMPUR: The police have questioned five witnesses in connection with a sexual harassment investigation involving the director-general of an enforcement agency. According to Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, there are no more witnesses to be called in for questioning at this time.

“We will be submitting the investigation papers to the Attorney-General’s Chambers on Friday (Dec 1),” he said.

The police have taken statements from the complainant, the suspect, who is the director-general of a government agency, and a special officer. “We took the suspect’s statement for about two hours on Thursday (Nov 23),” said Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain on Nov 24.

It was also reported that the police recorded the statement of the suspect’s special officer to verify a meeting between the suspect and the complainant.

Additionally, Comm Mohd Shuhaily stated that the police seized the suspect’s mobile phone during the investigation.
