The investigation paper related to PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has been submitted to the Attorney-General’s Chambers, according to Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain (pic).
He stated that the investigation paper was sent to the Attorney General’s Chambers on Thursday (Sept 7) morning.
“We will wait for further instructions from the AGC regarding the case,” Razarudin said during the closing ceremony of the 4th National Forensic Symposium for Law Enforcement held at the Royal Malaysia Policr College on Thursday (Sept 7) while speaking to reporters.
On Monday (Sept 4), the police obtained a statement from Abdul Hadi in relation to his alleged dispute of the Pardons Board’s granting of pardons.
These comments were supposedly made during a ceramah in Bakri, Muar, Johor.
At around 11.15am on Monday, a Bukit Aman officer was observed entering the PAS headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. He left approximately an hour later.
Deputy Inspector-General Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay mentioned that the party president responded to five out of the 24 questions posed to him.
“He stated that he will answer the remaining questions in court. He is currently being investigated under the Sedition Act and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act,” Ayob Khan said.
Regarding another matter, the IGP revealed that the investigation paper concerning Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was submitted to the AG’s Chambers two days ago.
This investigation is related to Dr Mahathir allegedly insulting the Royal institution.
