IPOH: A Form 3 student at a secondary school in Gunung Rapat here has allegedly been bullied by a senior student.
The State Education Committee chairman, Khairudin Abu Hanipah, has informed that a police report was lodged in Kuala Lumpur on Monday (July 24) by the student’s caretaker.
Khairudin said, “The matter is currently being investigated by the police. According to the information I have received, the Form 3 student was bullied by a Form 5 student.”
Although the exact extent of the victim’s injuries is still unknown, it is believed that he was kicked by the senior, as stated by Khairudin during a press conference at the state secretariat building on Wednesday (July 26).
The victim is currently recuperating at home.
Furthermore, Khairudin mentioned that the school has initiated an investigation into the incident, following the standard operating procedure.
“Both of them are school athletes who play sepak takraw,” he added.
