A 47-year-old woman and her teenage son sustained minor injuries after their car was struck by a falling tree in Ipoh. The incident occurred at Taman Song Choon at 3pm on Friday, September 8. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department operation officer, Mohd Rozairi Abdul Rahim, stated that it was likely that the car was in motion when the tree collided with it. The emergency team had to remove the tree in order to extricate the trapped victims from the vehicle. The injured individuals were then taken to a private hospital. A unidentified passer-by assisted in transporting them to the medical facility. The local authorities have been alerted to the situation and requested to assist with the tree’s removal from the roadway.
