All 14 polling centres for the Jepak by-election were closed at 5.30pm Saturday (Nov 4).
According to Election Commission (EC) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Ghani Salleh, the voting process in the Jepak by-election was progressing smoothly, with no reports of any untoward incidents so far.
The EC also provided an update on the voter turnout, revealing that as of 4pm, it stood at 46%.
The Jepak by-election features a three-cornered contest among candidate Iskandar Turkee from the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Stevenson Joseph Sumbang from Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK), and Chieng Lea Phing from Parti Aspirasi Rakyat Sarawak (Aspirasi) – as reported by Bernama.
