KULAU: Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi stopped to assist a road accident victim on the North-South Expressway (NSE) near this area.
Onn Hafiz was returning to Johor Baru from a programme in Kluang on Sunday (March 24) afternoon when he noticed the victim lying face-down on the expressway.
Johor investment, trade, consumer affairs, and human resources committee chairman Lee Ting Han, who was with him at the time, posted pictures on Facebook showing the mentri besar aiding the victim while waiting for the ambulance to arrive.
Lee also sent well wishes to the victim, who was swiftly taken to Hospital Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim for medical treatment.
Kulai OCPD Supt Tan Seng Lee stated that the collision occurred at KM25.3 southbound of NSE around 5pm on Sunday.
“A motorcyclist collided with a car driven by a 20-year-old man.
“As a result, the 24-year-old male motorcyclist suffered injuries to his legs, hands, and face,” he mentioned, while adding that the car driver was unharmed.
The incident fell under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/59), Supt Tan explained.
