Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar of Johor was discharged from Damansara Specialist Centre 2 (DSH 2) on Thursday (July 20) following a successful operation on his right shoulder for an old injury on Tuesday (July 18).
The Sultan shared on his official Facebook page that he had a meal at a shopping centre in the federal capital after leaving the hospital.
Prior to returning to Johor, it was mentioned in the post that Sultan Ibrahim will be undergoing follow-up treatment for several days.
“After the surgery, I should have been resting in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for a while, but I felt well enough to go straight to the normal ward. I walked alone from the operating theatre to my ward. The doctor was surprised. Thanks to the prayers of the people and Bangsa Johor, I survived this treatment and hope to be able to continue my work,” the Sultan said in the message.
The Sultan also expressed his gratitude to the medical specialists who provided treatment as well as the staff of DSH 2 for their good service.
“I would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff who treated and helped me. I have only been here for a few days, but their sincerity touched me. It feels like a new family here,” the Sultan said. – Bernama
