In an effort to provide affordable housing options for its people, the state of Johor plans to build at least 30,000 units of Johor Affordable Housing (RMMJ) in the next five years, according to Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, the Johor Mentri Besar.
Recognizing the need for affordable housing, Onn Hafiz has set a new target for the state government, surpassing their previous goal of constructing 21,702 units. He firmly believes that this increase in the target is achievable due to the high demand for RMMJ units.
In his speech during a key handover event at the Senibong Indah Apartments, Tanjung Senibong, Onn Hafiz emphasized that the focus should not solely be on Johor Baru. He encourages the construction of more RMMJ units in other districts such as Batu Pahat, Muar, Pontian, Segamat, Tangkak, and Kota Tinggi.
Crescendo Corporation Bhd, the developer of the Senibong Indah Apartments, has completed and handed over 222 RMMJ (Type C) units to their respective owners. These units, which are approximately 93.1 sqm, come with three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
